How we handle your data
We take the protection of your personal data seriously. This policy describes which data we process when you visit this website, for what purpose and on what legal basis. It is based on the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP) and, where applicable, on the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What data we process
We process personal data only to the extent required for operating the website, answering your enquiries and fulfilling contractual or statutory obligations. In detail, this covers:
- technical access data recorded when the website is called up
- details you provide to us yourself when getting in touch
- login data and usage data in the protected B2B area
- where consent has been given: usage statistics for audience measurement
- where consent has been given: data for measuring advertising performance and for remarketing
Server log files
Every time this website is called up, your browser transmits technically necessary data that our hosting provider stores in log files: the page called up, the date and time, the volume of data transferred, the referrer, the browser type and operating system, and the IP address.
This processing is required for the secure and stable operation of the website and takes place without your consent. The log files are not merged with other data sources and are deleted after a short time.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device. We distinguish between necessary cookies, which are required for the operation of the website, and optional cookies, which are only set with your consent.
Necessary cookies
- cm_consent – stores your decision in the cookie banner. Provider: CREAMETAL AG. Duration: 6 months.
- kirby_session – keeps you logged in to the protected B2B area. Provider: CREAMETAL AG. Duration: until the browser is closed.
Optional cookies (only after consent)
- _ga – distinguishes between visitors. Provider: Google. Duration: 2 years.
- _ga_<container ID> – maintains the session status. Provider: Google. Duration: 2 years.
- _gcl_au – attributes a website visit to an advert (conversion measurement). Provider: Google. Duration: 3 months.
- IDE – recognisable advertising identifier for remarketing. Provider: Google (doubleclick.net). Duration: 13 months.
Statistics and marketing can be decided on separately in the cookie banner. The statistics cookies (_ga) are only set if you consent to “Statistics”, the marketing cookies (_gcl_au, IDE) only if you consent to “Marketing”.
You can change your decision at any time. The “Cookie settings” link is permanently available in the footer.
Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager
We use Google Analytics 4 to measure how our website is used, delivered via Google Tag Manager. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
These services are only loaded once you have given your explicit consent in the cookie banner. Without your consent, no cookies are set and no data is transmitted to Google. Technically we ensure this with Google Consent Mode v2, which blocks analytics storage by default.
With your consent, Google collects usage data such as the pages viewed, the time spent on them, your approximate location and technical details about your device and browser. Your IP address is truncated by Google and is not stored permanently. The purpose is the statistical analysis of website use in order to improve it.
In the course of this, data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; the Swiss Federal Council and the European Commission have recognised an adequate level of data protection for certified companies.
You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. To do so, use the «Cookie settings» link in the footer.
Google Ads
We advertise our products through Google Ads. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. This service is also delivered via Google Tag Manager.
The Google Ads tags are only executed once you have given your explicit consent to «Marketing» in the cookie banner. Consent to «Statistics» is not sufficient — the two purposes are requested separately. Without marketing consent, Google Consent Mode v2 blocks advertising storage, and click identifiers from adverts are removed as well (ads_data_redaction).
With your consent, Google records whether you carry out a particular action after clicking on one of our adverts (conversion tracking) and can show you our advertising on other websites (remarketing). From Google we receive aggregated reports only, no information that identifies you personally.
Contacting us
If you contact us by e-mail, telephone or WhatsApp, we process your details in order to answer your enquiry and to deal with any follow-up questions. We do not pass this data on without your consent.
Please note that communication via WhatsApp is subject to the terms of the provider WhatsApp Ireland Limited. If you would rather avoid this, you can reach us just as easily by e-mail or telephone.
Protected B2B area
For registered business customers we operate a password-free login: you enter the e-mail address we hold on file and receive a one-time login code. In doing so we process your e-mail address, the login code and the time of the login.
The login sets a technically necessary session cookie. The files held in the protected area are delivered exclusively to logged-in customers.
Instagram content
On our CREA LIVE page we show posts from our Instagram channel. This content is copied to our own server at regular intervals and delivered from there.
This means: viewing the page does not establish any connection to Instagram or Meta. Only when you click on a post and thereby switch to Instagram do the privacy terms of Meta Platforms Ireland Limited apply.
Your rights
Within the scope of the applicable law, you have in particular the following rights:
- information about the personal data we process
- rectification of incorrect data
- erasure of your data, provided no statutory retention obligation stands in the way
- restriction of processing
- release or transfer of your data
- withdrawal of consent given, with effect for the future
- objection to certain processing operations
A message to info@creametal.ch is sufficient to exercise these rights. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or with a competent European supervisory authority.
Changes
We amend this privacy policy whenever our data processing or the legal requirements change. The version published on this page at any given time is the authoritative one.
